Osvaldo Mascarello

Osvaldo Mascarello

Osvaldo Mascarello was born in La Morra (Cuneo) in 1948 where he lives and works.
Growing up always fond of drawing and painting, he developed a youthful passion in pencil and charcoal techniques. Then moving onto watercolors and oil painting, and learning the artistic techniques from Florentine painter and portraitist Giannina Tesi, he acquired a new passion with a deeper dimension for art. As part of a spontaneous group of painters from La Morra, Osvaldo took advantage of the summer holiday period, to organize and participate in exhibitions of their collections in the areas of Barolo and Alba.
Osvaldo’s primary occupation led him to work abroad, often visiting many countries for long periods of time, from which has captured images and emotions. His frequent trips around the world, and visiting many museums and art displays have enriched his desire to paint, and to share his art work with others in professional appearances and as a person. He started to devote much more of his leisure time to once again engage in his passion for oil painting with a focus on landscape and still life. Today his goal as an artist is to create a long “story” from its roots far from his native land, the Langhe, in order to achieve the pleasure of painting the dreams and memories of the “vagabond traveler”.
