Daniela Albegiani was born in Palermo – Sicily – in 1969, she studied at the art school in Palermo and later specialised in painting and glass decorating. Her work is driven by a passion for the arts and she has experimented many techniques. In fact she has used watercolours mixed with inks, oils and acrylics. A more particular material application on her latest canvases is papier-machè, with which she realises beautiful subjects, such as butterflies, in relief. Every Miss Butterfly has painted wings and takes its inspiration from nature, that the artist studies carefully, and represents love and liberty. Albegiani says she loves butterflies for they give her joy and because they are elegant and light; they look fragile, though possessing an endless energy which make them fly long distances to reach their destination without stopping.
